How we handle your data — simple and transparent

What We Collect

Not much. Bladeowl is a simple review site. We don’t require accounts, logins, or personal information. Here’s what we might collect:

  • Anonymous analytics — We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are popular. This tells us how many people visit and which guides they read. It doesn’t tell us who you are
  • Amazon affiliate tracking — When you click a product link, Amazon places a temporary cookie to track the referral. This cookie is set by Amazon, not by us, and is subject to Amazon’s Privacy Notice
  • Server logs — Like every website, our hosting provider keeps basic access logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited). These are standard and temporary

What We Don’t Do

  • We don’t sell your data — we have nothing to sell
  • We don’t run creepy tracking scripts or ad networks
  • We don’t collect email addresses (no newsletter popup here)
  • We don’t use social media tracking pixels
  • We don’t share anything with third parties beyond what Amazon and Google Analytics require

Cookies

Our website itself doesn’t set any cookies. However, third-party services we use may:

  • Google Analytics sets cookies for anonymous usage statistics
  • Amazon Associates sets a cookie when you click an affiliate link, valid for 24 hours

You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time. The site will work exactly the same — you just won’t be tracked by Google Analytics, and Amazon affiliate links will function without the referral cookie.

Your Rights

Since we don’t collect personal data, there’s nothing to request or delete. If you’re in the EU/EEA, GDPR applies — but in practice, Bladeowl simply doesn’t process personal information in a way that requires user action.

If you have any questions about privacy or how your data is handled, we’re happy to answer. Just reach out and we’ll get back to you promptly.
